AR (Augment Reality) is an enhanced version of real world where digital visual elements, sound or other sensory stimuli delivered through technology in a combined real and virtual world. It is used for enhancing natural environment with an enriched experience.
AR Technology makes a digital element (3D Model) overlay on a real world view. For example, A popular game “Pokemon GO”, uses AR to show pokemon in front of you through your mobile device which already has AR Technology. It can also be seen in instagram or snapchat face filter.
For AR Technology to work, it needs a camera equipped device which is loaded with AR Software. When a user points the camera on a certain object, the software recognize through computer vision , which analyzes frame by frame video stream. Then It calculates the data to represent the 3D Model in world space.
Not only this revolutionary technology will broaden our knowledge but will for research and medical treatment. This will be very useful to interact with the unknown which we can not see physically.This will be the necessitiy for future technology in modern life.
